Transformation through Thought!

BELIEVING: Alchemy = The ability to trans mutate common metal into gold and the universal panacea, when applied to the alchemist himself, symbolises ignorance to enlightenment with the philosopher’s stone representing a hidden spiritual truth or power that would lead to that goal. (Wikipedia)

“…transformation… means the results or action of going beyond one’s form.” Dr Wayne W Dyer, “You’ll See It When You Believe It,

Moving to another state was to be the start of a new life. Widowed only 9 months previous I had chosen to retreat to the place my late husband, Leo, and I had decided would be our semi-retirement destination. The Gold Coast, a destination of sun, water and glorious stretches of beaches, a place of solace while healing. The downside was leaving behind my daughter Angela, having just purchased her first home with her fiancé, and Craig who was leaning towards the last year of his apprenticeship. And yet I knew with a deep knowing that they would eventually join me in Queensland.

Leaving Melbourne in my Honda Prelude, a gift created from a mere thought, my youngest child, along with my niece Jill, and I set out on a most amazing journey of which was to unfold over the next 10 years for Amanda and I.

The first learning curb came in the form of a florist business purchased with my sister, which lasted 6 months, and created a wedge that has lasted 23 years. In this time transformation was occurring and like the phoenix was arising from the ashes. ‘You’ll See It when You Believe It’ was still displaced by, ‘You’ll believe it when you see It’ and yet following my nose, which I now know to be my intuition, led me to buy a 38 foot yacht, Aletta, to live on while learning to sail.

Talk about taking Leo’s words, “Sink or Swim’ literally.

While living on Aletta I met the amazing and interesting people and realised at 41 how naïve I was. In my first year I met a young woman who was living on the boat she and her fiancé were building. Roz, a nurse, and he, a FIFO to PNG, a helicopter pilot. Roz and I had taken to sewing bees on their yacht which led to many conversations about life and its meaning. It was during one of these in depth conversations I picked up Dr Wayne Dyer’s, ‘You’ll See It When You Believe It’.

Ok time to give this a go’, I thought, and commented, ‘I would like a man to ring out of the blue and ask me out to dinner.’ Roz and I both jumped when her phone rang.

Still reading I could hear Roz’s, ‘Yes, ok, yes. Oh and I have a girlfriend here with me. Ok see you then!’

Slightly stunned, Roz turned to me and said, ’That was my friend Phil from the hospital, a funeral director. He invited us to have dinner with him and his offsider at Marina Mirage. They will swing by and pick us up in half an hour.’

Blimey Charlie no time for philosophical conversation, half an hour later we were sliding into Phil’s waiting car. Introductions made, it was only a matter of 10 minutes and we were seated in the restaurant.

As the lively discussions quietened I relayed the events leading up to Phil’s phone call. Phil, I discovered, was not only a funeral director but also a dive instructor and had instigated Roz’s fear of water by teaching her to dive. Our conversations soon took the ‘New Age’ road and we learnt that we both had an interest in Motivation and Spiritual dimensions.

Though I must say Phil was not overly joyed at my humour when I added, ‘Most people must be dying to meet you’, and quipped with the face of an undertaker, ‘I’ve heard them all Elaine’.

The beginning of a friendship that has lasted 20 odd years and some weird adventures. I even had a psychic ask me who Philip is and I had no idea who she was talking about! It was when the reading was over she asked me whosethe funeral director… OMG it’s Phil I haven’t seen him in years.

Well guess what she tells me just ‘think about it’ and you will see him real soon and I did and he called to ask me out to dinner in Cairns.

He still lived on the Gold Coast nearly two thousand kilometers south of Cairns. Read on for more adventures where I will show you ‘everything is possible’ through the power of thought!

Trust the ‘Power of your Subconscious Mind’

With love and light always from me ‘E’

It all began with a thought!

Aletta & Mum 001

A thought that counts yet it is not known. Not known at that particular time it occurred ‘I could handle that’ and let go. Even when it manifests itself into physical being it is ignored until the owner of the thought is educated into the awareness of how it occurred!

Aletta 2 001

‘I Could Handle That’ was the thought considered as the morning coffee conversation, at work in Melbourne, discussed a colleague’s sail up the Australian eastern seaboard from Melbourne to Queensland.

Having never been on a sail boat nor ocean trekked other than water skiing as a young teen I had no idea that the thought would manifest itself. Oh! I did do the Tasmanian ferry, which can be quite treacherous, though lo and behold it was a beautiful calm sea (not that I had thought otherwise!).

So less than two years later the above photo is of me standing at the mast of my 38′ yacht Aletta. Yes you got it mine! Unfortunately between the thought and the actual appearance of her, in my life, came 18 months after the tragic loss of my beautiful husband, Leo. Leo would never of contemplated this lifestyle due to his affliction of seasickness. One bout mind you, but it left him reeling forever after!

With an overflow of grief a choice to move to Queensland, and sunshine, tapped me on the shoulder and packing my youngest and myself into the car we left Melbourne and settled into a new life, in an apartment on the Sun drenched Gold Coast.

A new experience and missing both my older adult chilren who had begun new lives for themselves we enjoyed our new lifestyle. Ah huh, but a mere thought was, ‘They will all be here one day’ Hhhhhhhmmmmmm although it took nearly 7 years for both of them, it happened individually and that’s another story also!

‘As every door opens it is a pathway that one needs to be led and discover the journey that the thought has provoked’.

Settling into life and a business our flower delivery lady invited me to come out and have a drink and enjoy some jazz. An invite to the Southport Yacht Club still did not the thought conspire to the conscious mind. ‘But alas it lay await in the unconscious mind awaiting the right moment to appear!’

Sunday afternoon jazz on the terrace is where I was introduced to Johanna and Michael and the scenery of bobbing boats on glistening water.

‘Come visit with us at home’, invites Michael. ‘We just live out on the third arm on a house boat.’

At the end of a magic afternoon we toddle off and climb aboard a gently floating home. What a grand idea. Living on the water. I could do this!

July of 1990 we were enjoying the gentle bobbing (sometimes) of a rented houseboat. Not a week or weekend hired one but a rented one as our home. By this time the penny was just emerging and dropping slowly into the conscious mind.

‘No! I do not care to live on a houseboat’…’Gosh you can get thrown out of your bed on one of those things, especially when a large boat goes by and creates a tidal wave. I know I’ll buy a flybridge cruiser. We can take it out and go on trips’…

‘Yes, yes’, says my young teenager imagining themselves sitting up there at the helm. ‘You go for it mum!’

So the search begins. It was about the time of very tight negotiations on the flybridge cruiser and the penny dropping further to the conscious mind. A neighbour asks, ‘Would you like to come for a sail with us today’. ‘Blimey, never done that before. Not sure how I will handle it’…

The conscious mind is starting to accept the thought. Amazing, fantastic the most enthralling roller coast ride I have had! Up she went and down she crashed as I stood, at the bow, and enjoyed the sparkling ocean coming up towards me leaving me transfixed to the motion.

‘Well buy one’, says my female yacht owning neighbours.

‘All well and good but I do not know how to sail!’

‘Well buy it and learn’, they chorused!

October 5th 1990, less than two years after the thought, ‘I could handle that’, it was housewarming night on Aletta! Just a thought, a mere drop in the ocean to the unconscious mind. Let fly to the wind, to develop, and create the journey to the consciousness.

10 years of a lifestyle that still lingers in my memory and that of my children and my grandchildren…

Memories of awareness of the thought provocation and creation!

Follow along this journey and learn how you, too, can create a wonderful fulfilling life…
